Blue Startups

Blue Startups is a Top 20 Accelerator in the US (Techcrunch) focused on helping scalable-technology companies compete globally. Blue Startups aims to stimulate economic growth in Hawaii and create new business opportunities by providing promising entrepreneurs with mentorship, access to business expertise, product testing, peer review, pitch development, introductions to investors, and seed funding.

Bytemarks Cafe

The Bytemarks Cafe radio show runs every Wednesday on Hawaii Public Radio, HPR-1 from 6:30 – 7:00pm HST in the evening. Please tune in to KHPR – 88.1 FM and catch the latest happenings in the tech, science and innovation world with a distinctively Hawaii-centric perspective.

Code for Hawaii

Code for Hawaii is a Code for America brigade that is a project-based volunteer organization that aims to bolster and elevate civic engagement through exploring the intersections with civic-serving technologies. We do this through re-imagining technical and design solutions with our members and partners.

CyberHawaii

CyberHawaii is an information sharing and analysis non-profit organization committed to developing and enhancing Hawaii’s cybersecurity capabilities. The organization is working to build a community that manages and mitigates cyber risk through various methods, including the sharing of information in a secure enclave via the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN), a threat sharing platform, as well as encouraging cyber hygiene best practices.

Cyber Hui

Cyber Hui is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which works to bring a community of Hawaii cyber security professionals together who are dedicated to sharing skills and knowledge with cybersecurity students.

Entrepreneurs Sandbox

A partnership between Box Jelly and HTDC, Sandbox features event space, coworking and collaboration space, meeting rooms, and small offices. Ideal for large meetings and those looking for a quiet workspace.

Hawaii Calendar

HawaiiCalendar.com is the Hawaii Tech Events calendar, created to promote technology, science, startup, education, arts and fan events across Hawaii. From the Hawaii Geek Meet to Makerfaires to hackathons and more, all events that are open to the general public are welcome.

Hawaii Geek Meet

The Hawaii Geek Meet is a fun, casual, family-friendly, grassroots gathering for people who are curious and have a passion that they love to share. And we use a very inclusive, positive definition of the word “geek.” Gadget lovers, coders, designers, makers, artists… and you!

Hawaii Open Data

Hawaii Open Data is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the adoption of open data/knowledge standards, #civictech, #civiccommons and the development of solutions capitalizing on open data in Hawaii. We focus on helping organizations leverage data as an asset. We accomplish this through education and improving data accessibility and integrity in support of public/private collaboration, government transparency, and civic engagement. Our interest in data includes government datasets but extends into the fields of technology, energy, health, education, media, science, labor, agriculture, economic development, and the environment.

Hawaii Tech Exchange

Hawaii Tech Exchange is a community organization located in Hilo, Hawaii. Our focus is on Entrepreneurship through Technology and the Arts. We operate “The Exchange”, a community space on Haili Street just up from the Hilo bay front. Each week we host events on Tech, the Arts, and Business.

Hawaii Venture Capital Association

The Hawaii Venture Capital Association (HVCA) represents entrepreneurs, private equity firms, and venture capital firms, with global investment interests. HVCA membership is open to investors, entrepreneurs, or anyone who may be interested in learning more about Hawaii’s innovative sector.

High Technology Development Corporation

High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) is a dynamic state agency responsible for diversifying Hawaii’s economy by developing a flourishing technology industry that provides quality, high-paying jobs for Hawaii residents. HTDC aims to accelerate the growth of Hawaii’s technology industry by providing capital, building infrastructure and developing talent to foster innovation and diversify Hawaii’s economy. HTDC is attached to the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT).

University of Hawaii System

Ideation Studio@UH is a UH System-focused incubator program that provides concierge services, seed funding and resources specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of UH-affiliated, deep-tech startups.

Tech Hui

Hawaii’s Technology Community, TechHui, is a social network for scientists, techies, tech entrepreneurs, and new media enthusiasts in Hawai‘i. Kama‘aina abroad and people outside Hawai’i interested in Hawaiian tech ventures are also welcome.

Think Tech Hawaii

ThinkTech Hawaii, Inc., is a 501(c)3 Hawaii non-profit corporation founded in 2001, now celebrating 21 years, and is dedicated to raising public awareness through civic engagement by citizen journalist hosts on digital media platforms. ThinkTech has produced over 12,000 talk shows and short movies, and streams 30 new live talk shows every week covering a variety of subjects of interest to the Hawaii community.

TORCH Technology Outreach Hawaii

TORCH – Technology Outreach Hawaii, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit leveraging the power of our youth to promote technology education, mentorship, collaboration and service across Hawaii. Technology Outreach Hawaii aims to guide Hawaii towards confidence in being users and/or creators of technology while empowering youth. We are working to partner with libraries and community organizations across the state to offer student-driven digital literacy initiatives.

UNUM National Security Innovation Network

UNUM is the one platform built to support innovators from across the Department of Defense, academic, and venture communities who want to connect and collaborate. UH Manoa UNUM encompasses the spirit of innovation. We find consensus in the importance of local economy, local business and jobs, and opportunities across generations and cultures. Receive updates on upcoming events, programs, and courses within UH Manoa and the community. Interact with researchers, DoD partners, and students for further outreach and opportunities.
