The NSF Pacific Islands Regional CISE Aspiring PI workshop is a two-day workshop to be held in Honolulu on June 13-14, 2024 for researchers at universities and colleges throughout Hawai’i and Guam interested in participating in NSF’s Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Core Programs. Participation in the workshop is open to those employed at any university or college (including community colleges) in Hawai‘i or Guam with research interests in any CISE sub-field. (Institutions that have received NSF awards totaling more than $2 million dollars, within the past five years from CISE programs are not eligible to serve as lead institutions, but may participate as non-lead collaborators.and who have not yet been funded for more than $2M by NSF CISE Core Programs.)
The workshop will take place at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Information Technology Center. Workshop content will include an overview of the NSF proposal development process, specific feedback on your proposal ideas, and networking opportunities. Aspiring PIs will be connected with senior mentors at the workshop and through Fall of 2024.
Reimbursements for airfare and other transportation costs, hotel accommodations, and meals and incidentals will be provided to qualified attendees.
