The Laboratory for Advanced Visualization and Applications (LAVA) is a state-of-the-art facility within the UH Mānoa Information and Computer Sciences Department. It serves as a hub for immersive visualization, data exploration, and collaborative AI research.
Equipped with large-scale ultra-high-resolution display walls, virtual reality systems, and advanced networking tools, the LAVA Lab enables researchers, students, and community partners to see and interact with complex data in entirely new ways.
POST 319 — The W. Wesley Peterson Collaborative Classroom
The W. Wesley Peterson Collaborative Classroom is an innovative space within the UH Mānoa Information and Computer Sciences Department. It features computing infrastructure to support collaborative courses and Creative Media programs, flexible seating arrangements, dedicated computers for Creative Media instruction, and comprehensive hybrid conferencing technology, including microphone arrays and high-definition cameras. This room serves as a central hub for student learning, project development, and dynamic educational experiences.
