Aloha Mask

With financial help from Oceanit and use of the FabLab in the College of Engineering, ICS Ph.D. graduate Sergey Negrashov has teamed up with Physics student Chris Ketter to mass produce precut, cloth mask sewing kits for healthcare organizations and emergency workers . The team founded Aloha Mask to connect fabric donations, sewers, distributors and other volunteers. In April, Aloha Mask reached a milestone of producing 1000 mask kits per day. A GitHub repository has also been created to help others establish similar efforts in their communities.
