ICS 101 TAs are Semi-Finalists in Walt Disney's ImagiNations 2009 Competition (4/27/2009)

Students design mobile device to enhance park goers.

Kendyll Doi, Kent Salcedo, Stacy Takeshita, and Megan Terawaki, current ICS 101 Teaching Assistants, are semi-finalists in Walt Disney's ImagiNations 2009 Competition.  The ImagiNations Competition was created and sponsored by Walt Disney Imagineering, the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company and its affiliates.  Imagineers are challenged to build on the Disney legacy of great storytelling to pioneer new forms of entertainment through technical innovation and creativity.  The ImagiNations competition encourages students to do the same!

Doi, Salcedo, Takeshita, and Terawaki designed a mobile device that would enhance the experience of Disney park goers.  According to Michael-Brian Ogawa, their advisor, the students' success was based on their hard work, innovation, and team spirit.
