The Box Jelly
"We picked the name for a few reasons. The first being we wanted to use a local animal. Our original concept was to have pop-up work spaces. The Box Jellyfish come to the islands after the full moon stay for a few days and then go back into the ocean much like our spaces were designed to do. Since then we have changed our business model. The name is also a play on words. A Jelly is a work get together. These were the origins of coworking so by definition we are a Jelly in a Box." TechHui
"TechHui was created because we noticed that many great techies and technical organizations in Hawaii were unaware of each other. The site is intended to provide visibility into all the interesting technical people, projects and organizations in Hawaii. We want to facilitate dialog and collaboration within Hawaiiʻs technical and interactive design communities. It functions as a place where everyone from students to seasoned professionals can ask questions about subjects such as Hawaii tech jobs, education and meetups. Its been very gratifying to hear from returning kamaʻaina that they found a job that let them return home on TechHui." (Read the whole profile)
