PIMA 4 Software Engineer I or II/Data Analyst

REPORTS TO: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATIONS: Corporate Honolulu
DURATION: Position/Employment ends at completion of PIMA 4 Study

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provisions of this position shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support capture, transport, storage and analysis of clinical data gathered as part of an hospital-based, IRB-approved clinical trial
• Provide auditing and evaluation of quality of captured data
• Work under the supervision of an experienced SW/DSP engineer
• Support documentation for regulatory standards including:
• Design Input
• Software validation and verification
• Software testing modules
• Quality control procedures
• Interaction with and use of the company’s Quality System
• Serve as a team player and role model for other employees of Hoana Medical, always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect
• As a “face” of Hoana Medical, will conduct oneself in a service-oriented manner which is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with members, visitors, the public and all others
• Must exhibit creativity and a positive attitude in overcoming obstacles common in a small company environment.
• Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned

Must have:

• Programming Experience
• Design and implementation experience of a software project outside of academic curriculum
• Function within highly-talented, specialized team environment with limited supervision;  ability to coordinate with others to accomplish project tasks
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of Company systems and products.
• Computer skills at a level that allow continuous on the job training.
• Minimum Education:  B.CS. or BS Engineering
• Minimum Experience: 0 - 2 years in a related field
• Willing to have a flexible work schedule

Desired:

• C, C++ or Matlab experience
• M.S. in a related field, with 0-2 years work experience
• Knowledge of medical applications or products
• Full familiarity with commercial software lifecycle process and source control systems.

Moderate amount of walking, and some standing, climbing, bending, and pushing/pulling or lifting/lowering up to 50 lbs is required.   Work may be performed in a hospital environment.
