How to: Upload a Course Syllabus

Add a syllabus to the repository in the ICS website.

You must have a registered account with the ICS website in order to be able to add a syllabus.  If you would like to request an account, please email (ics-webmeisters-l AT hawaii DOT edu).  For more information on who can request an account, please see our User Policies page.

Login in to your account and follow these steps to add a syllabus:

1) Go to the Course Syllabi folder

2) In the green editing menu, click "Add New..." > "file"

3) In the TITLE textbox, enter the number and name of the course with this template:  ICS XXX - Title

4) In the DESCRIPTION textbox, enter the professor's name and the semester taught, if applicable

5) In the FILE area, select your syllabus (must be a PDF file).

6) Important: Go to the "Settings" tab above the title entry box, check the box that says "exclude from navigation".

7) Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

8) On the far right of the green editing menu, click "submit".

Finished!

NOTE: After submission, your syllabus will go to the Webmaster for approval and you will be notified by email when it is published and available for viewing by everyone.

NOTE: If for some reason you lose track of your file (for instance because you forgot to submit it for publication and cannot see it when viewing "Course Syllabi" page), then click on the "Content" tab and you will see your file there. Click on the file. Then click on the green"Edit" tab to edit the file (and possibly submit it for publication).
