ICS Teams Participate at the 2019 ICPC Pacific NW Regional Contest

On Saturday, November 9, 2019 four teams of ICS students represented UH Manoa at the 2019 Pacific NW Regional Programming Contest held as part of the 2019 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) North America Regionals. The Pacific NW Region is comprised of Hawaii, Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, northern/central California and western Nevada. Because of the large geographic area of the region, the contest was held simultaneously at multiple sites, and the Hawaii site was hosted by Brigham Young University Hawaii. Teams from UH Manoa, UH Hilo, BYU Hawaii and HPU participated at the Hawaii site.

The contest consisted of two divisions and UH Manoa was represented by two ICS teams in each division. Team sponsors were Nodari Sitchinava and Martha Crosby.

In both divisions, UH Manoa placed second among the teams participating at the Hawaii site.
