Professor Irvin Receives Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program Grant from IMLS

Assistant Professor Vanessa Irvin has been awarded a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) for her project: Hui ‘Ekolu:  Bridging Educational, Cultural, and Technical Exchange Among Native and Public Libraries in Hawai’i. The $249,330 award supports a “cross-learning” exchange opportunity involving the Library and Information Science program, the Native Hawaiian Library of ALU LIKE, Inc., and professional public librarians of the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System. The Hui ‘Ekolu program will run from May 1, 2018 – April 30, 2021.
