NCWIT Awards for Aspirations in Computing

The Hawaii affiliate of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) held a luncheon at UH to honor winners in their Award for Aspirations in Computing competition. Local award recipients were high school women selected for their aptitude and interest in IT and computing, solid leadership ability, good academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. An Educator Award was also presented to Kalani High School teacher Bryan Silver.

The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Martha Crosby from the ICS Department and Dr. Thanh Truc Nguyen from the College of Education. The guest speaker was ICS Professor Kim Binsted.
